We wanted to have the holiday craze behind us so we planned our Maine trip shortly after Christmas this year. Heading up we had another good trip with our super-star kids on the 5 hour trek & dedicated husband who worked the night before & hopped straight into the van to catch some zzzz’s from the 3rd row seat.
The snow from Thanksgiving was long gone, so no white Christmas but we certainly were ready for a party celebrating Christmas, New Years Eve & my birthday always gets into the mix of the season.
The kids did so well being both gracious & patient with their gift giving/receiving with each getting a gift at the same time & having to wait until all were done before another round was handed out…very impressive!
Soren’s new goggles to go with his snowboard from Santa….ready to hit the slopes!
Of course, the must needed group photo….kids are getting pretty good at this;)
A little wrestling to start the party…
Handmade quilts from Grandma for each of the kids capped off the presents. The kids were all so excited & very sweet in thanking Grandma for this special gift.
Of course, matching camo snuggies for Bodie & Soren!
And we were only just beginning:)…..
