Our Little Doll

This is how I came in to find Fiona playing. How she wedged herself into that tiny doll pack-n-play is beyond me....but she was having fun!

You Thought Christmas Was Over? Really, Now....

(please note, this post is longer than usual so after the photo of Uncle Kevin & Bodie you'll have to select "read more" to see the rest of the post....don't want the Sidell family fun to get short-changed & needed to cap the Christmas posts & move on!)

Next stop on the Christmas Train was heading to NH then Maine to celebrate the conclusion of the holiday.

Unfortuately the day before we were to head to Maine Mason was taken over by a nasty bug. There was no way we could travel with him the way he felt & that boy is pale enough but actually got even more pale. Not good. Although he was very disappointed to miss the trip to see his cousins & family. Mason was okay with Fiona & I heading up without him & dad. Thought it would be a tougher time but the way he felt & the fact that I mentioned I'd be bringing back some more presents allowed him to accept the situation.
So it was Fiona's first road trip without Mason & she behaved so well for the trip. She had full control of what movie was playing...she took advantage by asking to switch many times over. She was able to use Mason's car seat with the convenient cup holder & storage spaces. Think she really liked the mellow ride after all of the excitement.

Then we arrived for our whirlwind 24 hour visit in Maine. Talk about grabbing our goods & running but it was a special day nonetheless. Everyone even sat down waiting for one gift at a time and didn't get another one until everyone was finished.....an idea good in theory, but actually WORKED!

No family celebration in 2010 would be complete without some Twilight paraphernalia from my crazed sisters. (Though I have to admit the books were good & I am on team Jacob don't think I am near the frenzy they have gotten themselves into....though I did enjoy receiving my Jacob key chain, bookmark & body tatoos;))

And have I mentioned the Sidell stockings? Never know what you may expect...

The Big Day - Christmas 2010 Part 2

After all of the morning celebrations we got dressed and were off to join the Picini's & Bergman's for some Christmas dinner....then non-stop fun, attention & playing with all of the "big kid" cousins. Both Mason & Fiona were loving it!

Some target shooting from Fiona with the new Nerf gun...she was a bit obsessed with it but actually a really good shot for a 2 year old;)

On to MORE gifts.....these deprived children;)

Some quality time playing games with the girls....

What a day....wonderful to celebrate with our sweet kids & enjoy the fun watching them get so excited & of course to spend time with family who are so important in our lives & our children's.

Off to bed!

The Big Day - Christmas 2010 Part 1

The big day had finally arrived and Mason & Fiona were kind enough...and tired enough to sleep until 7!! A Christmas miracle in itself!

Since our kids have been known to be early risers & get a bit nutty when they are completing for something we decided it was best to reinstate our gate to block them from rushing the tree & opening their gifts before we could rub our eyes awake...plus, mom cannot miss a photo op!

talk about ready at the gate

And let the fun begin!! Santa was even clever enough this year to wrap all of the kids gifts in their own wrapping paper...though less colorful under the tree, it was a HUGE success so they knew which ones that they could open and which to hand off...

Stockings are always alot of fun too....anyone who has seen the "unique" gifts that Santa leaves in Sidell stockings knows how truly entertaining the process can be;)

With the goodies from Santa opened the kids didn't have to wait long for another "sleigh" of goodies to arrive along with Nana & Auntie Amy.

Thank you Nana & Auntie for all of the treats & enjoying Christmas morning with us!
