Birthdays are funny after a certain age. Maybe 30 is the turning point or it is all relative. But anyway, I haven’t loved celebrating my birthdays lately since I am on the downhill slope toward forty…a few years left, but still:) Plus, Mason pronounces thirty seven like forty seven..we’ve been working on this annunciation especially but to no avail he has given me another 10 years already! Hopefully his forty’s sound like twentys…
Anyway, we had a little birthday celebration up in Maine for me since by default I usually get a cake with the Christmas fun…appreciate all of my love & support & realize how much family & friends mean so much more than the gifts that I open. Another year older but another year of memories & experiences I was able to create.
Have to do a shout out to my husband for a very clever gift this year…fit for a proud mom of 3….and, I guess, a mom who missplaces keys too…I am sure it will be amazing to see how their little hands have grown each birthday I celebrate.
And a shout out to my mom….I lived up to the middle child syndrome & I am glad she was able to find a way to celebrate it…cheers, mom!
