A few weeks ago we took a long weekend up to Maine for a mini-vacation. Unfortunately it started out slow with a traffic delay which extended our 6 our drive to 7.5! Our kids are champs & with minimal complaining (all things considered) we survived the trip & arrived at Camp Sidell….no internet, no cell phones just family & lake. The weekend started out rather chilly & rainy but we managed to still get out and keep some activities going….
And we hit a few milestones while up there….including celebrating Amanda & Kevin’s 6 year wedding anniversary, complete with a reinactment of their first dance….how romantic…
And of course more importantly the first missing tooth of the clan….congrats Nick!
Then off to bed…
After the crowds cleared, so did the clouds and Monday, though the rest of the family missed it, we had a quiet & picture perfect day with just the 4 of us….great way to relax & enjoy a beautiful summer day.
Though a short trip we had a chance to get some R & R in before our trip back down home…
