I still have catch up but thought I would share this story from the trials & tribulations of being Fiona….
Our girl is infamous for dragging her feet, not sure if it is a power thing that she likes to wait until she causes trouble or if she is just oblivious…but we have to pack up every afternoon to pick up Mason at school.
Fiona headed to the car & was daydreaming. Of course, this is a multi-time daily acvtivity of getting in and out of the car so I usually start off with gentle reminders to please get in the car & buckle up….then proceed to repeat, and repeat & repeat in an effort to not escalate the situation & my blood pressure as the clock is ticking;)
Fiona reluctantly climbed in the car and spoke to me:
F: Mom, you always tell me get in the car, get buckled up, get in the car, get buckled up. I don’t like you telling me that all of the time
Me: Well when you know we need to go somewhere maybe you can do it before I have to ask, novel idea!
F: Ugh (insert sigh)…Mom, you just don’t understand me…you don’t know what I want.
Me: Fiona, please enlighten me…
